2021 - 2024
Artificial Intelligence Society
Industry Coordinator | AI Mentor | Member
At AI Society at UTD, I've had an awesome journey, starting as a mentee and moving up to mentor and industry coordinator. When I first joined as a mentee, I worked on HugoAI, a cool project where we used image detection to figure out diseases from chest X-rays. This experience really got me into AI and machine learning.
Later, I became a mentor and led a team of six on a project named CircuitSeer. We used AI to identify objects and lines to solve circuit problems, which was both challenging and fun. It was great guiding the team and seeing our ideas come to life.
I also got to be the industry coordinator for the society. This role was all about connecting with companies, getting them to sponsor us, and helping set up events and workshops. It's been a great ride with lots of learning and teamwork, and I've really grown a lot from working on these projects and in these roles.
2021 - 2023
Association of Computing Machinery
Member | Outreach Member
In my role as an outreach member with ACM UTD since August 2022, I've focused on bridging the gap between high school students and the world of STEM. I've collaborated with various companies and industry professionals to raise awareness and ignite interest in STEM fields among these students. Through engaging and interactive sessions, I've guided students to explore and pursue their interests in STEM. This experience has also allowed me to network with accomplished individuals, providing me with invaluable industry insights and opening doors to potential opportunities. My involvement in ACM UTD has been a fulfilling journey in promoting STEM education and professional growth.
2021 - Present
IEEE
Member | Forge Projects
As a member of IEEE UTD Forge, I was part of a dynamic team that worked on a 10-week project to develop a voice-controlled car using machine learning and microcontrollers. In this role, I leveraged my expertise in ML algorithms and microcontroller programming to contribute to the construction of a mini car. This experience significantly enhanced my skills in project management and technical problem-solving, equipping me with valuable insights and capabilities that I am keen to apply in future endeavors. My time at IEEE UTD was pivotal in honing my expertise in machine learning.
