Project Details

This summer, I had the unique opportunity to intern with UnitedHealth Group, specifically within the E&I B2C Marketing team. My journey was one of growth, where I not only developed my technical expertise but also gained a deep understanding of how analytics and business strategy intersect in a large-scale healthcare organization.

Core Responsibilities: My primary focus was on crafting production reports that transformed complex data into clear, actionable insights. These reports served as more than just metrics—they told the story of our marketing campaigns’ performance, highlighting what resonated with our clients from both an analytical and business standpoint.

Exploring Predictive Analytics: A significant aspect of my role involved delving into predictive analytics. I developed propensity models using logistic regression, which enabled us to forecast customer engagement with future campaigns. This work helped refine our marketing strategies and enhancing our outreach efforts.

Technical Toolkit: Throughout my internship, I worked with a variety of tools including Databricks, SQL, and Python. These technologies were instrumental in managing and analyzing large datasets, allowing me to navigate the complexities of data analysis and solve problems effectively.

The Minnesota HQ Experience: One of the highlights of my internship was visiting the Minnesota headquarters. This experience allowed me to connect with fellow interns, share ideas, and immerse myself in the dynamics of the corporate world. It was an invaluable opportunity to gain fresh perspectives and understand the company’s culture.

I am deeply grateful for the support and guidance I received from the E&I Marketing Department led by Nitin Shah “DATAGUY” . Special thanks to my manager, Jessica Derby for her mentorship and to Rushya Puttam, who played a key role in the success of my projects.

Reflecting on my time at UnitedHealth Group, I am filled with gratitude for the challenges, learning, and growth I experienced. This internship has been a pivotal step in my career, and I am excited to carry these lessons forward into future endeavors.
